Kaplan Testing Services Limited, trading as Kaplan Assessments, is the data controller for the Emerging Voices Awards. We will use the information in this form to administer and assess your application, verify eligibility, manage conflicts and, if you are successful, enter into and manage the award. We rely mainly on our legitimate interests in operating a fair and accountable research award process and, for successful applicants, on steps taken before entering into and performing the Award Agreement and on relevant legal obligations.
Application information may be accessed by authorised Kaplan staff, KTE Technical Advisory Board members or other expert reviewers acting under confidentiality, and service providers supporting the application process. To verify your eligibility, we will share your name, institution and project title with the supervisor, mentor, or manager mentioned on your application form. If you are selected, we may share your name, institution, project title and information needed for conference registration and agreed publicity with EALTA.
Unsuccessful application records are normally retained for 12 months after outcomes are issued; successful-applicant records are normally retained for 7 years after the project closes, subject to Kaplan policy and legal requirements. Your completed submission package must include:
- This completed Applicant Submission Form.
- Completed KTE Data and Support Request Form, even if no non-public KTE support is requested, and uploaded in section 7.
- Supervisor, mentor or line-manager endorsement, completed and uploaded in Section 8.
- No additional appendices unless Kaplan has requested them; unrequested material may not be reviewed.
